Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP) Courses

Overview
The Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP Funding) is a subsidy provided to NTUC members to help offset the cost of course fees for eligible courses. This initiative aims to encourage more NTUC members to pursue skills development and continuous learning.
NTUC members can enjoy 50% support on unfunded* course fees, up to $250 annually, when enrolling in UTAP-supported courses. For NTUC members aged 40 and above, this funding increases to $500 per year.
*Unfunded course fees refer to the remaining course fees payable after the application of any relevant government subsidies.
Who is eligible for the credit?
NTUC members who meet the following criteria:
- Maintain paid-up NTUC membership before the course starts, throughout its duration, and at the time of claim
- Course must not be fully sponsored by a company or other funding sources
- Achieve at least 75% attendance and complete all required exams (if applicable)
- Submit the UTAP application within 6 months of course completion.
Additional Funding for NTUC Members Aged 40 and Above
- NTUC members aged 40 and above can receive increased UTAP funding support of up to $500 per year.
- Funding is capped at 50% of unfunded course fees.
- Applicable for courses attended between 1 July 2020 and 31 December 2025.

Selected courses offered by Ministry of Education (MOE)- funded institutions*
*Institute of Technical Education, polytechnics, autonomous universities, LASALLE College of the Arts and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts
