Pre-requisites

No prior knowledge or experience is required to attend BELLS’ PMP® Certification Training, delivered in partnership with Simplilearn. To qualify for the PMP exam, you must meet one of the following criteria:

  • A secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree, or equivalent) with 7,500 hours of project leadership and 35 hours of project management education.

To earn a PMP® certification, follow these steps:

What are the PMP® Certification requirements?

To qualify for the PMP® certification, you must meet specific educational and experience criteria. You need either a four-year degree along with at least 36 months of project management experience and 35 hours of project management education, or a high school diploma with 60 months of project management experience and 35 hours of project management education. Enrolling in a PMP® certification course with BELLS can help you fulfill the education requirement.

What is the PMP® Exam Fee Refund Policy?

To request a refund for the PMP® certification exam, you must submit your request to PMI® at least 30 days before your exam eligibility expires. If you haven’t scheduled or taken the exam, PMI® will retain a US$100 processing fee.

How long is the PMP® Certification valid?

The PMP® certification is valid for a period of three years.

How to schedule your PMP® exam after completing the course?

Once you've completed your PMP® certification training, you can schedule the exam after PMI® receives the certification fee payment. To schedule, follow the instructions provided by Pearson VUE for booking your test appointment.

Do you provide practice tests as part of the PMP® Certification course?

Yes, BELLS offers 12 simulation tests as part of the PMP® Certification course to help you prepare for the exam. You can also try a free PMP® Exam Prep Practice Test to familiarize yourself with the format of the tests included in the course.

What is the PMP® Certification exam pattern?

The PMP® certification exam consists of 200 multiple-choice questions, 25 of which are pretest questions that do not count toward the final score. Here’s a summary:

  • Total Questions: 200
  • Scored Questions: 175
  • Pretest Questions (Unscored): 25
  • Exam Duration: Four hours
The exam is delivered via center-based testing (CBT), with paper-based testing (PBT) available in certain situations. A tutorial and survey are optional and take up to 15 minutes each, separate from the four-hour exam.

How many PDUs do I need to maintain PMP® Certification?

To maintain your PMP® certification, you must earn 60 Professional Development Units (PDUs) every three years.

What is the PMI® audit process?

If your PMP® application is selected for audit, PMI® will notify you via email before payment. During the audit, you'll need to provide the following documents:

  • A copy of your diploma or equivalent.
  • Signed verification from your supervisor(s)/manager(s) for the projects listed in your application.
  • Copies of certificates or letters from training institutes showing your completion of the required 35 hours of project management education.
You have 90 days to submit the documents, and the audit is typically completed within five to seven business days after submission.

Is it mandatory to renew PMP® Certification?

  • Earn the required PDUs to meet PMI®'s Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR).
  • Submit your PDUs through the online CCR system.
  • Pay the renewal fee and wait for your updated PMP® certification.
