Do I need any design or 3D modelling experience?
Not at all. This is a beginner-friendly course. If you can use a mouse and your own laptop, you have what you need. We start from absolute basics and build up to a functional capstone product by Day 3.
What exactly will I print?
Across the three days you’ll print at least three course outputs: a custom luggage tag on Day 1, a custom desktop storage drawer plus an AI-designed figurine on Day 2, and your own functional product as the Day 3 capstone. Specific outputs may vary based on design choices and printer availability.
Will I take my prints home?
Yes — the physical objects you print in class are yours to keep. Walk out Friday with real things you made.
What hardware and software will I use?
Hardware: Bambu Lab A1 Mini printer. Software: Autodesk Fusion for 3D modelling, Bambu Studio for slicing, plus Generative AI tools to accelerate your design workflow.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes. Participants who fulfil all course requirements receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), recognised across all WSQ-aligned employers.
Am I eligible for SkillsFuture funding?
Yes. Singapore Citizens (21-39) and PRs receive 50% subsidy. Singapore Citizens aged 40+ qualify for 70% subsidy under the Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy. SME-sponsored employees also qualify for 70% via ETSS. NTUC members can stack UTAP funding on top (up to $500/year, claimable after completion).
What is the $30 application fee for?
The $30 supports the admin work to set up your training and confirms your enrolment. It is fully waived upon successful completion of the programme.
Do I need to bring my own laptop or printer?
Please bring your own laptop. The Bambu Lab A1 Mini printers and course materials, including PLA filament, are provided in class.
Can I use a tablet instead of a laptop?
No. Tablets are not suitable for this course because Autodesk Fusion and Bambu Studio require a laptop or desktop computer for the hands-on design and slicing work.
What if I miss a class?
Make-up sessions are available. Inform us in advance and our training team will arrange a replacement class, subject to availability.
Can I continue using the software after the course?
Yes. Autodesk Fusion is free for personal/hobbyist use, and Bambu Studio is free for everyone. Generative AI tool access varies — your trainer will walk you through the free and paid options.
